Press Pool – The offense did its job today. The special teams did its job. The defense did its job. Is that what it’s going to take these next few games

Freddie Roach – Oh yeah. You have to win all three phases of the game. You do that and you’ll be happy at the end.

Can you talk about Ole Miss. You go to their stadium to play next week. What’s is going to take to win on the road.

I’m excited. They’ve got a good quarterback, good skill position and a great line. I’ve got a couple of buddies on that team so I’m excited to play Ole Miss and get this thing going.

With Brandon (Avalos) starting at quarterback, did y’all feel like it was on your backs to win the game?

No. I told Avalos earlier this week when he asked me how I thought he was going to do. I told him he was going to do fine and just to go out there and play your game. He doesn’t have the experience that Brodie does, but he gets the job done. He got the job done tonight and we came together as a team.

Seems like on third down, y’all made big play after big play to get them off the field. Did that help.

Oh yes. You know, we got some rest on defense. Coaches have stressed third down all year. That’s what really has been hurting us. But we bounced back and responded with what they asked us to do.
