Press Pool – Obviously, your shoulder is hurt. Did you ever feel like the defense gave you an extra shot in the shoulder, perhaps intentionally?

You don’t really know out there. You just get hit sometimes. I don’t guess they were aiming for my shoulder. I would hope not anyway.

In the fourth quarter, you went three and out, then two and out with a turnover, and then 20 yards on 6 plays. Then, obviously, the fumble was an execution thing. What happened out there?

They just out manned us. They came in there and stopped us when they had to. We have to make plays in crucial situations, and we didn’t.

When you were watching the lead go away, were you thinking “Oh no, this is about to go away.”

We knew as soon as we scored that they weren’t out of it, and that they were going to come back. They’re a Top 10 team, and they fought back and won. They made the plays when they had to.

What was the situation with getting the big lead and then losing focus there?

I really don’t know what it is. There’s no excuse for it. We just have to find ways to make first downs and keep our defense off the field.

How did that pass play set up for you (when the interception was thrown) in the second overtime?

I read the safety. We had a post. The safety went over and I though the guy in the flat would be wide open, but the strong safety went with him and I threw a pick.
