Game Over ... Hogs Rally Over Tide 31-34 In 2 OT

Brian Bostick (#22 Jr. PK, 5-10 213 lbs. Cullman, AL - Cullman High)

These comments came following the Arkansas game as Brian Bostick answered questions from members of the press pool ...
Press Pool – Can you talk about the field goal kick there in overtime? What happened?

Brian Bostick – There wasn’t too much out of the ordinary on it. It was a good snap, good hold. I just pulled it a little bit left when I kicked it.

Did it feel good when you hit?

Yeah, pretty much as soon as you hit a ball, you can tell whether it’s going to go in or not.

So it just didn’t feel good when you hit it?

It felt like I pulled it a little bit.

What are this team’s emotions right now after having gone through this feeling yet again this season?

It’s a pretty low point right now. Tomorrow we’re going to have to shake it off and start practicing again and get ready for the Georgia game next week.

Have you ever had to kick with the game on the line?

Not in college.

What the feeling like to be in that situation, where you could lose the game if you miss?

You just have to treat it like every other kick. Especially in that situation, because if you miss it there’s still a chance that you’ll have another kick in the overtime.

How do you bounce back from this?

It’s just mentally preparing. The physical … we have the physical. We have the work ethic. We’re just going to have to focus on the mental part and work on that.

That was a career long you hit there at the half. Talk about good that felt and compare it with the overtime.

Night and day.

Did that first kick give you confidence for the other one?

I felt like I’ve been kicking as well as I ever have.

Sorry to ask you about this again, but can you talk about the kick and what happened?

It was a good snap and a good hold. Everything went well except that I pulled it when I hit it.
