Being thrown down a sinkhole never felt so good ... unless you happen
to be the "bankerman" in the second song on the Drive
By Truckers' new album. In "Sinkhole",
that evil bankerman stole the wrong farm and was thrown into the mouth
of Hell ... one of 15 gutsy stories on "Decoration
Day". The album is a fresh encarnation of the Drive By

The North Mississippi All Stars
first played on the Tuscaloosa Strip in 1998 during 25-cent beer night
at the Booth. Since then, the band's music has spread far and wide. The
North Mississippi Allstars' second cd, 51 Phantom, has
been nominated for a Grammy.

ain't got nothin' to do with the General Lee or Daisy Dukes, and everything
to do with music of chance, risk and peril. This rock trio started on
the New Orleans entertainment scene and has been rounding the Deep South
music circuit.

features one of downtown Tuscaloosa's oldest businesses, the Oak City
Barbershop.
