Man of the Earth is also called Wild Potato Vine

This brownish grass called Broomsedge is all too familiar, and unwelcome, to farmers and most landowners. But it provides some nice morning shade for a blooming Man of the Earth, which grows on a vine along the ground. Man of the Earth, also called Wild Potato Vine, can produce a giant, starchy root weighing up to twenty pounds. This wildflower is found in waste areas, fields and other open areas.
