Bee Balm, or Wild Bergamot, grows into bushes up to five feet tall. Bee Balm blooms in late Spring/early Summer in meadows, open woods and along properly maintained roadsides. The flower is about 3-4 inches across and is easily identifiable thanks to its long, spindly petals and its bright, purple color. There's also a variety of wild Bee Balm that has red blooms.
