Tuscaloosa saw a special treat in Fall of 2003. Surf rockers Goggle-A paid a visit to the Druid City during the weekend of the LSU game. They delivered two blockbuster performances. Here's some pictures of Goggle-A during their show at Egan's Pub on the Strip on November 14th.

Eri, Goggle-A ... Gaku (Vocal, Rhythm Guitar) from Kobe, Japan; U-1 Ace (Lead Guitar) from Kyoto, Japan; Mucho (Bass) from Kobe, Japan; Eri (Drums, Vocal) from Hokkaido, Japan

Why did you start playing surf music?

Because we have been interested in ELEKI. ELEKI is Japanese original 60's surf beat. For example, Takeshi Terauchi and Yuzo Kayama.

What did you think of Tuscaloosa? How were you received?

Before we went to Tuscaloosa in this tour, we didn't know even the name. But after our shows, we think that Tuscaloosa is one of the best towns in the USA!! We really enjoyed playing in Tuscaloosa!

What were some of your favorite moments from your Tuscaloosa visit?

When we played, everybody was dancing.

Where are some of best places you've played in the US? ... the world?

In the USA ... New York, Atlanta, and Tuscaloosa!
Other places ... Munchen, Chemnitz in Germany. Thun, Ins, and Barsel in Switzerland, and all around Japan!

Where was your best show ever and what happened?

When we played in Nagano, Japan, a power failure happened. But we kept playing with only drums and voice. Everyone in the audience kept dancing and shouting in the darkness!

Favorite food, music and beverage in the US?

In the US ... TACO BELL. Music ...Dick Dale, the Woggles, fresh orange juice.
