Georgia Post Game Interview Transcript ... These post game comments

Why was it so difficult to get off the field on 3rd down?
I think that ... you know, they have good coaches, good players, and a couple of times they caught us in some good calls and ran good plays for what (alignment) we were in.They just made some plays and we didn't. So that's really, basically it. We've just got to execute better and focus better.
What happened during the last touchdown pass (in overtime).
(smiles) I don't know. I didn't see, I was running with my guy. I thought they were going to throw it my way, but ... you know ... that happens. They have a good quarterback and good receivers.
Compare the emotional high that came last week ... coming back this week and then falling short like this.
Well you know, it hurts ... but you've got move on. It's just like the last one. When we won against Arkansas, we felt great but you still had to move on because you've got to play a good team the next week. That's what we're going to have to do ... put this one behind us and improve in practice and get ready to go to Florida State.
The coach said he was worried about focus all week ... was that something that might have come into play?
Well, I really don't think they had to do that so much because I think our guys did a good job of handling it. So we were able to focus on Georgia and they didn't have to sit there and pound us saying "Arkansas is over with ... concentrate on Georgia." I don't think they had to do that because I think our guys did a pretty good job putting that win behind us and trying to move on.
(question garbled) (You guys responded to adversity in the second half ... what happened?)
I said earlier, I was proud of the way we fought. There's no quit in our guys and I love that. There's no quit in our coaches and it starts with our head coach. I promise you, you won't see him quit, (laughs) he's going to coach until the very last second of the game. That's how we have to play. We just have to cotinue to get better in practice and continue to just trying to improve on doing the little things right.
A guy like Keith Brown ... who has been a star here ... sometimes when someone moves into their slot you don't see them again. But Keith played big today, what does that say?
Oh, it's huge. He was talking to me on the sideline saying "If I get a ball my way, I'm going to make something happen." (smiling) And I was like, "You go get it man! We need you." And it wasn't but a few plays later, he was streaking down the field and made a huge catch for us. That's great to see him step up like that, even though he hasn't been in the spotlight maybe like he used to be.
It's been a while since Alabama played Florida State ... tell me about ... after a loss ... going on the road and playing a team like Florida State.
Ummm ... well, we've got to get back to work! Coach Saban gave us tomorrow (Sunday) off to rest. Come Monday, we're going to have to get going again. I'm looking forward to it. Like you said, we haven't played Florida State in I don't know how long. So it's going to be great. We've got to put this one behind us and get ready to play.
The coaches said this week you didn't have the fire in your eye like you did last week ... what do you think about that?
You know, I really don't know what it was to tell you the truth. But we did not play with the same intensity that we did last week, I know that for a fact. We can't have that. We can't be up and down. We have to be consistent. With the schedule that we have, we're going to have to play fast and start fast every game or we're going to be behind the eight ball in every game.
