These post game comments came as
Press Pool ... Tyrone, could make a few comments about how you felt about the game tonight.
Tyrone Prothro ... The first half we didn't start as fast as we wanted to. But the second half we came out with the mindset that we wanted to start fast and finish strong, and that's what we did.
Talk about how much your defense helped you out tonight.
The defense, well they helped us out a lot. Just them playing their game and knowing that we (the offense) weren't on our game, that gives us the confidence that if we can step it up that we can put some points up.
Talk about the touchdown catch, and does that make up for the punt return that got called back?
On the punt return, you know, it was just a couple of miscues. Someone blocked in the back. We just had to come back strong. I just ran my route and Brodie threw a great ball.
Tyrone, you don't drop too many ... talk about the drop you had in the first half. Did you hear footsteps and did that motivate you to come out stronger in the second half?
It kind of did. I don't usually drop balls. I just caught myself trying to make a move before I caught the ball and it just slipped out.
Was this team at all surprised by Middle Tennessee?
They came out and played harder than we thought they would. But it was all according to what we were doing. We didn't come out and start as fast as we wanted to. But once we stepped it up, there wasn't much they could do about it.
