Brodie Croyle had another solid game ... 14/22 for 169 yds - 2 TD
These comments came following the 2004 Western Carolina game as Freddie Roach answered questions from the press pool ...
Press Pool ... Freddie, that was a big win with a big score ... but talk about what it was like in the lockerroom with Brodie's injury.
Freddie Roach ... It was kind of down. You know, any time something like that happens it's not a good thing. But we'll pray for him, and keep him in our prayers and hope he pulls through.
What did you think about the shut out?
It gives us a little confidence. It's just something to build on. As a defense, you always want to get a shutout. To get that under out belts is real good for us.
In the first three games, have y'all progress as you had hoped?
I think so. I think every week we're getting better. If we continue to do that, things are going to be looking good for us. Aa a defense we're coming together. As an offense also. So I think now we're deserving the right to be called a "team".
Getting that goose egg has to be exciting.
Yeah, it's always exciting. It's just something for us to build on and maybe we can get one every week.
How does this help you going back into conference play?
Well, it's going to be tough. Any SEC game is going to be tough. We just have to put this behind us and get in the film room and study these guys and make adjustments.
