Alonzo Ephraim (#58 Sen. C, 6-2 303 lbs. Birmingham, AL - Wenonah High School)

“I’m glad it’s over. We worked hard and pushed
through. It’s something we couldn’t do last year at the first of
the season, but it’s a blessing to come out with a win like this.
Reporter – Did you expect to be able to get the running game going
a little bit better than you did?
“Yeah we did. There were just a lot of things that we done. We really
stopped ourselves a lot. We have to come back and work harder on it in practice.”
Reporter – What’s one or two of the things they were doing to
you that you’ll have to adjust for?
“Well, we’re going to work a lot on making sure we identify the
(defensive) front and come off on our blocks better. Just knowing who to go
get is just the first part of it, even with all the movement they were doing.
Reporter – Anyone on MTSU that surprised you guy today?
“No, they all just played very well. They played very well. We beat a
good team today, and they cam out and showed it today. So we’re just glad
to get out of here with a win.”
Reporter – What was the first thing said in locker room after the
game?
“We came in and said “A win is a win!” Right now we’re
on a 5-game winning from last year so we want to keep that up.”
