Hirschel Bolden (#25 Sr. RCB 6-0 196 lbs. Dothan, AL - Dothan High School)
These comments came during post game media interviews ...
Reporter - What was said in the locker room during halftime?
Bolden - It was "Let's get ourselves together and come out with some fire." So we tried to do that.
Was it players talking, or coaches talking?
Both. First, leaders like Jarrett, Brooks Daniels ... you know, we all talked. And then the coaches came over and gave us a little talk.
And the basic message was?
Just play better than you did the first half (smiles).
The secondary has created so many turnovers the last couple of games. What's behind that?
Everybody just knowing what to do and being prepared. I'd say we prepare better than anyone for what we do. The last 36 hours we've all been focused, so we just came prepared.
What was the reaction from the team after the interception?
It was just like "Finally!" I missed the one in Vanderbilt and got criticized the whole week about that. People telling me I can't catch
Wayne (Bacon) says he was ragging you about that last week.
Yeah, he even hung it up on the wall. It was a picture of me trying to catch the ball with my eyes closed. So today was payback to them!
Can you take us through that play? The ball went up, you turn around ...
And I just saw the ball. The first thing I was thinking about was what coach always tells me, "You win on top." So I tried to body the receiver and turn and look for the ball, and it just came that way for us.
Hirschel, you couldn't really put them away today. They just kept hanging around and hanging around.
Well you know, they're a good team and give credit to them. They were very prepared.
