Punter Lane Bearden continues to play with a torn ACL

These comments came during post game media interviews ...

Reporter - What happened with the blocked punt today?

Bearden - Well, I figured it would happen eventually because everyone is going to try to come it and I think I might have been a little slow. I take responsibility on the one that got blocked. They got through, but I was slow punting. I was just trying to get off a good punt and everyone was blocking. It was as much my fault as anyone else's

Did you speed it up? It looked like you just barely beat them on that last punt.

I was just trying to get it out then. I wasn't really worried about where it went. They way they blocked it and the way they had their scheme set up after the blocked that one. They were pulling our guys, and did a good job of it. Their coach said during the week that he thought they could get to me because he saw a weakness. They did a great job and got to me, and it was really disappointing to have it happen.

Can you talk about what drives you to play this season with a knee injury week in and week out?

Well, the doctors told me I could do it, and if I was playing another position there would be no chance of it.
