Shaud Williams (#21 Jr. A-Back, 5-8, 189 lbs. Andrews, TX - Texas Tech)

Shaud Williams - There’s going to be days when you come out to play and you’re not able to run the ball. But that’s why you have to be versatile on offense and go to other things when it’s not working.

Reporter - Comment on the fumble on the exchange between you and Brodie. Did you have a hold of it?

I couldn’t even see it really. Brodie was kind of stumbling so I was looking at him to see if I was going to get the hand off or not. Of course, he pitched it and I wasn’t expecting it. I think (Justin) Smiley actually kicked it as he was pulling. It was just one of those plays that you wish you could have back. But hey, it’s forgotten about now and there’s nothing we can do about it.

How big was that play in the whole scheme of things?

I think they took the momentum right back. I don’t know. We were thinking we were about to get something going and get a chance to make a play. Then you turn around and fumble the ball. It’s real frustrating, real frustrating.
